Taken from the Harvard Lampoon, ten clues that Paul McCartney really is dead. Note: You must have some proficiency with Beatles trivia to find the humor in this. 1) On the "Abbey Road" cover photo, a car's license plate reads "28 IF" -- that's twenty-eight years, Paul's age "IF" he had still been alive when the record was released. 2) The White Album's "Revolution #9" was recorded with backward masking. The hidden message is, "Turn me on, dead man," repeated over and over. 3) In the fade-out of "Strawberry Fields Forever," a muffled voice seems to say, "I buried Paul." 4) In "Glass Onion," John sings, "And here's another clue for you all/The Walrus was Paul." The earlier song "I Am the Walrus" is replete with references to death. 5) On the "Sgt. Pepper" jacket, Paul is the only Beatle with his back to the camera. In the "Magical Mystery Tour" gatefold, he is the only Beatle wearing a black carnation instead of red. 6) At the end of "Nowhere Man," you can hear Paul being shot point-blank in the heart. 7) As "Good Day Sunshine" fades out, Paul eats a poison for which there is no known antidote. 8) In one scene from the movie "Magical Mystery Tour," five huge men hit Paul with bats until he collapses, bleeding profusely from the nose and ears The movie's credits do not list anyone I-or special effects. 9) The cover photo of "Let It Be” shows a decapitated body spouting blood and gore from the neck. In the background, a man with an axe is throwing Paul’s head into a garbage can. 10) When the Beatles gave their final In-e concert in 1966 at Candlestick Park. Paul was only a skeleton.
